KEB Hana Bank announced that it has recently signed a business agreement with The Sandbox, a blockchain-based metaverse platform company, to cooperate in the global metaverse platform business.

The bank inked the business agreement to provide banking services in the metaverse and participate as a global partner in projects promoted by The Sandbox.

Through the business agreement, KEB Hana Bank plans to open a virtual branch at The Sandbox metaverse to provide basic banking services and expand a virtual economic ecosystem through investment in and cooperation with companies participating in the metavese.

In addition, Hana Financial Group’s content will be introduced to global users along with various Korean cultural content at K-Verse Zone, a virtual space for K-content in The Sandbox. This is expected to facilitate the spread of Hana Financial Group’s values to the younger generation.
