and other cryptocurrencies were holding on to big gains on Wednesday amid the best winning streak for digital assets in years. But there remains a big hurdle for prices if crypto is to really crawl out of this ferocious bear market.

The price of Bitcoin rose less than 1% over the past 24 hours to $21,200. The largest digital asset has soared over the past week, marching out of its previous range of $16,500 to $17,000 to reclaim price levels not seen since before the collapse of crypto exchange FTX rocked markets in November.
